Theresa May Deems Corbyn Unfit To Lead

By James Simons-

UK prime minister, Theresa May attacked Jeremy Corbyn, accusing him as being unfit for leadership.

The prime minister referred to the opposition leader as a ‘weak leader”, saying he was not ready to govern and that his position on Brexit leaves him ”alone and naked in the negotiating table chamber of the EU.  Ironically, May has appeared very much isolated during EU negotiations so far, due to the very stubborn and resistant attitude of EU chiefs. It doesn’t take much genius to figure out that  Corbyn is unlikely to fair any better against  team of EU leaders bent on making Britain pay for leaving Europe. However, May’s  commitment to be ready “from day one” to work on a new “deep and special relationship” with the European Union – while Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has “no plan for Brexit”, is perplexing to say the least. There have been no signs of any special relationship in sight, but the prime minister may have a magic wand in the works yet to be revealed if her leadership is affirmed with overwhelming election votes.  That appears to be the insinuation from her comments-it remains a highly theoretical position to be verified by factual events.May said Monday’s live TV grilling on Channel 4 had shown that she was not ready to lead. and Jeremy Corbyn is not.

NEGOTIATIONS

Brexit negotiations are only 11 days after polling day,  and May’s insistence that  Corbyn is ”not prepared for those negotiations,” makes basic sense at least.  Afterall,  Corbyn’s ideology of world peace comprises of a world without armies, Britain being at the core of those plans.
May claimed Mr Corbyn had “lurched chaotically from half-baked plan to half-baked plan” since the Brexit vote, adopting seven different approaches to EU withdrawal.  However, Corbyn, who  has been making strides in the election polls,  is notorious for his ludicrous ideology of a none existent British army, and has recently been heavily criticized for refusing to rebuke the terrorist campaign executed by the IRA in the 80’s.

Meanwhile, a ‘liar liar’tune written by a group of freelance musicians has hit number 2 on the itune chart. The song, originally written in 2010, is derisive of the conservative party, presenting them as a party that can’t be trusted.  The song is the highest new entry on the UK official charts this week, but impartiality rules bars the insulting song from getting any radio air time.  The group, made up of seven musicians are unheralded but have performed on some fairly big platforms including  Empire veiled, Patricia Faith, and The Street. Its sudden success is a sign that the lyrics resonates with the public, not necessarily because it is scathing of the Conservative party, but more likely because the public don’t trust politicians in general.

Insufficient funding for schools and associated falling standards, the NHS, and catering for the elderly, are among some of the main issues members of the public have against the Conservative party. May’s refusal to engage in a proper debate with Corbyn also din’t do her much favours, because it gave the impression that the prime minister was afraid of the challenge. Other reasons may have been responsible for her decision, but without thoe reasons presented to the public, speculation is all we are left with.
