A social worker who became an escort stole £1,600-worth of goods from a disabled client to pawn them and fund her drug habit. The woman had agreed to care for the man whom she met as an escort, before pawning them to fund her addiction to painkillers, Manchester Court heard.
However, the eye of media.com have heard from more than one source who know the former social worker, that 45 year old Mischelle Kershaw actually using other drugs. One source told the eye of media.com ”mischelle definitely does a line of gear often and other drugs. She is lively party animal who is clever, but was out of order to rip this man of. She takes pain killers, but she also takes other drugs,” the woman who insisted on anonymity said. there is no way she would have admitted that to the court”.
There is no evidence Mischelle Kershaw used the money to fund any class A drug habit, but the fact she regularly uses other drugs suggests she must have used a chunk of the mony on drugs too.
Michelle Kershaw wholeft social services in search of more money shamefully grabbed a guitar, synthesiser and iPhone from a disabled man who had hired her to date with him. Instead of sticking to the codes of her new escort profession, the 45-year-old former social social worker agreed to act as a carer for the man before stealing the items from his Urmston flat.
HOSPITAL
Manchester magistrates court heard that the man in his 50s, was being treated in hospital for brittle bone disease at the time of the scam. He was heartbroken to have so much of his personal belongings stolen from him by Mischelle Kershaw.
Kershaw falsely claimed the items were gifts given to her by the victim. The court heard Kershaw had an addiction to painkillers and stole the items to get cash for tablets.
Mischelle Kershaw, from Mossley, Tameside, was handed a community order after pleading guilty to theft at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
“In July the defendant then undertook some care duties for him. The victim was in hospital and his father was looking after the flat when he saw the defendant removing some items.
“Those items were then taken to cash converter and she pawned them for cash.”
DISGRACE
Kershaw is a disgrace to the social work profession she left. Even after leaving a profession, an individual is expected to have the ethics and standards that accompany the profession. Her despicable suggests she must have been as unprincipled as a social worker as she was when she left the profession. Her crime is thoroughly embarassing for her and her children who must be very disappointed in her.
