Jay Deas: Deontay Wilder Is Best Fighter In The World And Wants The Biggest Fight Out There.

By Gabriel Princewill-

WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder,(36-0 (35) is the best champion and wants the biggest fight out there, according to his manager, Jay Deas.

Deas refused to be drawn in on comments made by recent unbeaten American, Jarrell Miller, (18-0 (16), who berated Wilder after Millers most recent stoppage victory in America.

Miller called Anthony Joshua “a punk”, and said ” I don’t even want to talk about Wilder”.
But Wilder, who has just recuperated from a hand injury is slated to next fight early next year, whilst allowing time for his injury to heal completely.

PUNCHER

Deas told the eye of media.com ” I believe Deontay Wilder Is the biggest puncher in the world. The heavyweight division is going through exciting times with some quality heavyweights around.”

TALENT

deasAnthony Joshua is great talent with a huge punch. He has fought better opponents than he is given credit for. Dillian Whyte is a very good fighter and his fight with Joshua was a great fight”. Nobody wants to get hit by Anthony Joshua, and nobody wants to get hit by Deontay Wilder either “

“There are other factors, like the ability to take a punch too. Tyson Fury is also a very good boxer, who us charismatic and speaks his mind.”

“Fury cannot be told what to say by p.r people in straight suits, Wilder and Fury say what’s on their minds”.

Then he interestingly added “I think there should be a gate fee for their press conferences because they are both charismatic personalities”.

BIGGEST

deasDeas told the eye of media.com that they want the biggest fight out there for Wilder, whoever that is. “Whoever is ready first, we will take. If it’s Fury, Joshua,  or David Haye”.

“We like David Haye, he invited us to England for sparring sessions to help him prepare for a fight” (referring to the first aborted fight against Tyson Fury in 2014).

Next year promises to a big year for the heavyweight division with potential big fights still gaining momentum after a long spell in the doldrums.

DETHRONMENT

deasTyson Fury’s surprise dethronement of Wladimir Kitschko and their impending rematch,  has set the stage for next year’s potential revival in the sports premiere division.

That fight is currently shrouded  in the controversy of legal suits and drug allegations. It will have to ride the storm successfully.

Wilder Is likely to fight Alexander Povetkin first next year, after his mandatory position was re-iterated by the WBC, following clearance over previous allegations of a banned substance in his system.

GRAND

By next year summer, Wilder will be expected to face either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua, with show-time bosses already expressing interest in a grand show down between Deontey Wilder and Anthony Joshua.

Both will need to keep winning until then to keep both interest and financial prospects for the fight live. It’s a tall order, but both gladiator heavyweights are tall and explosive enough to deliver on the order.
